  • Factory cast Precast Concrete Box Culverts are not only great solutions for low cover applications and adaptable to a myriad of site configurations, they offer Environmental Benefits of Precast Concrete Box Culverts over site poured culverts 1.     Water Conservation ·      Industrialized production method requires less water compared to traditional on-site construction 2.     Waste Management ·      Better control over waste generation ·      Efficient handling and reuse of excess materials 3.     Resource Optimization ·      Precision in a controlled environment minimizes cement usage ·      Optimizes the use of other raw materials in the concrete mix ·      Controls in factory production provide for more efficient designs 4.     Reduced Greenhouse Gas Emissions ·      The combination of these factors leads to lower emissions compared to traditional in-situ construction methods. #cpaa #precastboxculverts #resourceoptimization #precastevironmentallybest

  • Pre pipe installation training sessions are invaluable to site teams to ensure there is a common knowledge on how to ensure a great installed outcome and preserve the durability of the pipe. The Joint Venture of CPB and Acciona constructing a project in Western Sydney earlier this week had CPAA Management Committee member Paul Adams from Holcim Humes present the CPAA a short version of the CPAA Installer Training.  To arrange a session on your site contact admin@cpaa.asn.au.  The sessions are FREE yet valuable to asset owners and civil contractors alike.

  • Karen Thompson, CPAA’s Executive Director is presenting at the ALDE 2024 conference in Lorne Victoria today. Her presentation focuses on installed pipe design, designing with sustainability front and centre and in particular the use of the industry produced design tool PIPECLASS3 which is being released next month. Obtaining peace of mind that a design satisfies a myriad of specifications and is the most sustainable solution is paramount. PIPECLASS3 simplifies what can be complex calculations and enables quick comparison of results from a range of design assumptions. https://lnkd.in/gR5bheiT

  • NZ CPAA Roadshows connect the industry The CPAA’s NZ Roadshow has concluded this week with sessions held in Christchurch, Wellington, Tauranga and Auckland. The Roadshow is a valuable opportunity to engage with the broader New Zealand concrete pipe and civil precast industry and is focused on sharing current information on design, installation, sustainability and post installation inspection. The content has proven valuable to attendees with positive interaction and feedback from consultants, government agencies and installers across the country.  If you missed out on attending or are keen for a targeted small group awareness session on how to design, install and inspect concrete pipe and associated civil precast with sustainability front of mind, contact the CPAA or the NZ member companies - Humes or Hynds.
