Conetix has seen an increased rate of fake WordPress security emails recently, which attempt to trick users into downloading and installing a malicious plugin to take over your website. The email may have the subject "Vulnerability found" or reference the fake CVE-2024-46188 vulnerability. As always, never click on the links and simply delete. There is no real WordPress vulnerability with the CVE-2024-46188 and WordPress would simply release an automatic update if such issue did exist. For more information: https://lnkd.in/g9aqYgm5
