On Sunday 30 March Coral Sea Marina is hosting the #EpicWalkForDV (Domestic Violence) in the #Whitsundays. The Epic Walk for DV will help raise awareness and funds for the lifechanging and lifesaving services provided by Women's Legal Service Queensland. In 2023-24, WLSQ assisted over 14,000 women and their Statewide Helpline answered 15,000 calls from people seeking assistance. In 2024, the number of calls made to their Helpline increased by 17% with an average of 112 calls received per day.
