Last week, during #SIMEXMIN2024 in Ouro Preto, @Corescan Powered by Epiroc had the pleasure of sharing its expertise on hyperspectral core scanning. Our Global Principal Spectral Geologist, Lionel Fonteneau, delivered a highly acclaimed talk on "Application to Hyperspectral Core Imaging for Sedimentary Iron Ore Deposits." Following the conference, Lionel Fonteneau and Cristal Palafox, our newly promoted Regional Senior Spectral Geologist for the Americas, conducted a well-attended workshop covering the basics of mineral spectroscopy and the application of hyperspectral core imaging to Greenstone Gold, IOCG, Ni-laterite, and Sedimentary Iron Ore Deposits.
