Coronation Property is proud to have welcomed NSW Minister for Housing and Homelessness Rose Jackson and NSW Minister for Women and the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Jodie Harrison to St Peters today to inspect our joint renovation project with Habitat for Humanity Australia’s Habitat for Women - a 12-week training initiative which empowers women to enter the construction and maintenance industries.   Together we have transformed a dilapidated, vacant house into much needed housing for women and children in need, in the middle of a chronic housing shortage. The house has already provided a safe haven for a single mother and her child who are being supported by the Aboriginal Women & Children’s Crisis Services (AWCCS).   Coronation Property will continue to provide solutions to easing the housing crisis and skills shortage by increasing the provision of housing for women and supporting greater participation of women in the NSW construction industry. We will persist to strive for a higher proportion of women in the construction and maintenance sectors because we know stable, meaningful employment is crucial for achieving independence and economic security.
