  • Curious about which cars hold onto the strongest residual values? The six slides below show the 20 top-performing models based on February 2025 dealer-used sales data, across three age brackets: 2-4 years, 5-7, and 8-10. Some insights include: ➡️ Nearly half of the vehicles across all age brackets that showed the highest average RV % (based on original RRP) are Toyotas! ➡️ More than two-thirds of the best RV% performers come from Japanese brands. ➡️ Micro and Light cars are statistically over-represented in the best-performing RV% charts in the 5-7 age bracket, a knock-on of the price increases in equivalent new models in the interim. • The new car market has experienced significant shifts recently, with private demand cooling, discounts increasing, and more brands entering the market. In this dynamic environment, it’s crucial for dealers to leverage all available tools to engage with customers effectively.   In a recent interview, Automotive Analyst Mike Costello and Cox Automotive Lead Product Manager Callum Coe discussed using AI to build better sales relationships with LeadDriver, Cox Automotive’s AI-enabled lead management system.   We hope you find their conversation insightful and that it helps you use AI and technology to complement the work humans do rather than replace it.   #AI #SalesRelationships #LeadManagement

  • At Cox Automotive, we love cars, and we love crafting software that helps dealers put more people in them. We understand that the strength of a salesperson lies in conversations, relationships, and understanding client needs. That's why we've built an intuitive system that minimises time spent on management, paperwork, and processes, allowing teams to concentrate on building meaningful connections.   Our Lead Cards in LeadDriver help sales managers and salespeople to see at a glance which of the team's leads require action and which are missing follow-up actions. Salespeople have a visual reminder to update unactioned leads first and ensure their contacted leads progress.   Curious to learn more?   Check out LeadDriver here: https://bit.ly/4bsEuNB   #SaaS #LeadManagement #LeadManagement #LMS #IntuitiveSystem

  • Regional and rural dealerships face unique challenges. Geographically dispersed and often operating with limited resources, these dealerships need efficient, cost-effective solutions to manage their leads and streamline operations.  In a recent interview, Callum Coe, Lead Product Manager, and Vladimir Djurdjevic, Sales & Relationship Manager at Cox Automotive, discussed how LeadDriver, Cox Automotive’s AI-enabled lead management system (LMS) is transforming regional and rural dealerships’ operations. Whether your dealership manages low or high stock volumes, LeadDriver offers a powerful yet simple solution to boost efficiency and cut costs. • Great to see our LeadDriver lead management software get some exposure in this week's GoAutoMedia newsletter. The LMS with available Impel AI is already generating great outcomes for dealers, as our recent study outlined. "A study of how artificial intelligence made a difference to the appointment rate in two dealerships has shown that AI programs like LeadDriver can get on with the job of making appointments well after the humans have left for the day. "The case study revealed that more than one-in-five real-world leads were booked for an in-person appointment, without human input. The company said that this rate was “of particularly high value for out-of-hours enquiries”. It's not about AI replacing humans, but rather about AI helping them. And by extension, customers. Ever wondered what cars have been keeping their value the best? This 5-page PDF should help! In short it's Suzuki Jimnys, and Toyota Yarises and LandCruisers. Cox Automotive Australia tracks a large percentage of used cars in dealers here, in part via our inventory management platform SmartPublisher. Hope this stuff helps! If you got value, like and share, it really increases my reach and justifies me doing it. • Our team at Xtime was thrilled to participate in Ford Motor Company's National Dealer Aftersales Conference in Adelaide last week. The event brought together over 120 Service and Parts Managers nationwide, highlighting Ford's commitment to customer convenience through their Express Service initiative. Jenny Webster led an insightful session on configuring Express Service for dealerships demonstrating how customers can effortlessly schedule Express Service appointments using the Xtime platform. Thank you, Jenny, for such an engaging presentation. We look forward to continuing to support Ford and dealerships nationwide in enhancing customer service experiences.

  • Thanks to John Mellor and GoAutoMedia for taking the time to discuss an issue flagged in our recent 2025 New & Used Market Webinar. While sales of traditional passenger cars such as hatchbacks and sedans have tumbled in the new market amidst the rise of SUVs, there's no guarantee that consumer sentiment in the used market fully echoes this. Indeed, we are seeing inflated price indexes and higher residual values on secondhand dealer passenger vehicles compared to SUVs already, while in Manheim Australia auctions they are notably quicker to sell. Last year, about 30% of dealer-used cars sold were traditional passenger cars, which now have only 15% of the new market. These will be tomorrow's used cars, so are we looking at looming shortages? Or will customer tastes evolve as they have in the new car market? Important intel for dealers to consider with their stocking decisions, and one we will be watching closely.
