Day themed morning teas throughout the week, creating a supportive environment where everyone feels encouraged to connect and have a conversation.   Our Head of Safety and Wellbeing Kristy Wilkin is extremely passionate about promoting the importance of mental wellbeing.   “R U OK? Day is more than just a day, it’s an opportunity and reminder to check in with each other and make sure we are okay every day. Engaging in these conversations and utilising the wellbeing resources from our provider, Sonder, helps us foster a culture of support and understanding.”

    Spring has arrived at David Jones as we herald the return our annual Spring Flower Show. This year, the Flower Show is an unmissable celebration of the art and stories of First Nations inter-disciplinary artist and proud Bundjalung woman, Kylie Caldwell, in collaboration with three of Sydney’s most esteemed florists: Seedflora by George Low, My Violet, and Bess Paddington. Spanning three levels of our iconic Elizabeth Street Flagship store in Sydney, the show features 20 stunning floral installationswith over 150,000 blooms and more than 50 species of flowers and foliage; each installation celebrating the unique beauty of the land we live on, offering a rich and diverse visual experience. Our Regional Manager Jason James is extremely thrilled to welcome customers and Sydneysiders to witness our store currently in full bloom.  “Our customers can look forward to a stunning fusion of Australian native florals, colourful locally grown blooms, and exotic imports, all reflecting the rich tapestry of modern Australia. This year’s Flower Show promises to be an unexpected and truly one-of-a-kind experience.” The David Jones Spring Flower Show will run until Sunday 15 September 2024.

    We're thrilled to welcome the iconic Megan Gale back as a Friend of David Jones. In celebration of the launch of the new season, Megan was unveiled as the star of our Spring 2024 issue of JONES. This exciting launch also introduces the arrival over 60 new Australian and international brands to our womenswear, menswear, footwear and accessories collections. Megan first joined us in 2001, representing the brand both on and off the runway and starring in countless campaigns. The role, spanning almost 15 years, remains Australia’s longest serving fashion contract between a model and a brand to this day. Megan shares, "My journey with David Jones has been truly remarkable. I’m excited to embark on this new chapter with my fellow Friends and continue championing the innovation and excellence that define this iconic brand."     Today our teams are proudly celebrating Wear it Purple Day in support of safe and inclusive environments for rainbow young people. Our teams kicked off the day with vibrant purple-themed morning teas with many wearing a splash of purple to show their support and solidarity and extend this spirit through our stores.     As a proud founding partner of National Breast Cancer Foundation, it was our privilege to host the launch of the Pink Ribbon Breakfast in our Elizabeth Street store recently. We are committed to supporting people experiencing breast cancer by partnering with NBCF to raise funds for research to help stop deaths from breast cancer.

    To celebrate the launch of our Pink Ribbon Breakfast now in its 22nd year, we brought together some of our amazing corporate partners and community fundraisers who contribute to its success. It was a wonderful evening filled with inspiring stories, host tips and tricks and an insight into the research projects this campaign helps to fund. We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to David Jones for generously hosting us in their Sydney flagship store. Our deepest gratitude to Interflora for the beautiful floral arrangements and a big shoutout to Royal Albert and ghd for their generous contributions to our gift bags, making them a delightful surprise for our guests.
