🌟 Embracing Inclusivity with ChromeOS 🌟 We know that creating an inclusive learning environment is essential for everyone to thrive. That's why we're excited to spotlight the incredible inclusive technologies and features that ChromeOS offers to make learning accessible for all! 🌍 📽️ ChromeOS Screencast: Easily record lessons, tutorials, or classroom activities and share them with your students. Perfect for remote learning, flipping the classroom, or reviewing complex topics! 📄 PDF OCR: Convert scanned documents into editable text with Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Say goodbye to manually transcribing notes or images and hello to more time for teaching and learning! 🖼️ Alt Text for Images: Make your digital content more accessible to all students by adding descriptive alt text to images. This ensures that visually impaired students can fully participate and understand the material. 🔊 Live Captions on Chrome: Enable live captions for videos and presentations to support students who are deaf or hard of hearing. This feature ensures that everyone can follow along and engage with the content. 🗣️ Voice Typing: Enhance productivity and ease communication with voice typing. Perfect for students who find typing challenging or for those who prefer speaking their thoughts. Just talk, and ChromeOS will type it out for you. 🎤 🗣️ Dictation: For students who need a little extra help with writing, Dictation allows them to speak their thoughts and have them transcribed into text. It's a game-changer for those with dyslexia or other learning differences. 💻 ChromeVox Screen Reader: This built-in screen reader empowers students with visual impairments to navigate and interact with their Chromebooks effortlessly. It reads out text and provides spoken feedback, making digital content accessible to all. 🗣️🔍 💻 Sticky keys: Did you know that ChromeOS has a fantastic accessibility feature called Sticky Keys? It's a game-changer for students who might struggle with pressing multiple keys simultaneously. Let's continue to champion inclusive education and ensure that every student has the tools they need to succeed! 🌟✨ Share your favorite inclusive tech features and let’s inspire each other to create a more accessible world. 💬🌍 #InclusiveEducation #ChromeOS #EdTech #Accessibility #EmpowerEveryStudent

The team at Deploy Learning has been lucky enough to be  involved with the Google Certified Innovator Program #googleei since 2008.  The event changed the way we work with students and inspired 16 years of professional development events and opportunities. Earlier in August, our team was asked to facilitate the new Asia Pacific cohort ( #SEO24 ) of amazing and talented Certified Innovators in Seoul, Korea! After several years of online academies, it has been such a privilege to be selected to lead one of the first face-to-face events since 2019.  With a fantastic group of coaches (Alex Galland, Jungeun Judy Kim, Kristina H., JeongJoon Kim, Shih-Yuan (Ben)Hsiao and Sujin Lee) across three days, we worked with 37 educators from 11 countries to inspire the cohort to develop their projects.   We are especially proud of Phil Carew for taking on the leadership role as Design Thinking facilitator for the academy and his work to help innovators turn challenges into solutions  We are grateful to our friends at Canopy Andrew Caffrey and Rachel Davey for their support as the global leader of the project for Google. A big thanks to the Google team in this region that worked tirelessly to create an amazing space Suan Yeo, Andrew Park, Colbe Lee, Azrina Azmi and Yoshihiro Sakagami. We are always grateful to Jennie Magiera and Kimberly Lane Clark, Ed.S of Google for Education's Global Impact Team for their trust and leadership not just with this program but also on the other projects we have been entrusted to lead.

This August we were honoured with the opportunity to work with educators from all across the Maldives for the official launch of Tech Path, a country wide digital learning initiative led by Ministry of Education,Maldives with support from UNICEF Innovation and Google for Education.  We were asked to provide 5 days of professional development for teachers and staff from all across the country.  Sharing topics like using Generative Artificial Intelligence to support teaching and learning and inclusive technologies with #Chromebooks, we worked alongside teachers to contextualise technology skills for their students in order to improve foundational and 21st century skills.  Additionally, we supported the Maldives National Institute of Education (NIE) to digitise content in order to make it more accessible to students across 200+ schools. A huge thank you goes to the incredible work of Mohamed Mahid Moosa, and the Maldives Ministry of Education and Shuhudha Rizwan and the rest of the team at the Maldives National Institute of Education for creating the opportunity and space for learning in Malé.  Thank you to Chris Harte, Kimberley Hall, Sushil Upreti and María Luján Tubio, Ph.D for inviting us to support them with this innovative programme.   A special thanks to the teachers that traveled from far and wide to participate and actively work to bring their learning back to their students. Thank you for your commitment to education and sharing your exciting journey! #EducationInnovation, #foundationallearning, #21stcenturyskills, #AIinEducation, #DigitalLearning, #DigitalTransformation, #GoogleforEducation, #geminieducation, #foreverychild, #unicef UNICEF Innovation , UNICEF Maldives, UNICEF Digital Technology

Google Classroom celebrates 10 years! In the last decade, we have continuously partnered with teachers, education leaders, and administrators to meet their changing needs. Originally created as a way to help teachers save trips to the copy machine, Classroom has since evolved into a central learning hub. It’s no longer just about saving time, but also about creating more of it — by helping educators extend their impact. Looking forward to working even more closely with educators around the globe as we continue to innovate to make the teaching and learning journey easier for everyone — from differentiating assignments and tracking student progress, to developing reading skills, and more.
