We previously had a chance to interview Dr Allen Barlow, a dedicated collector of rare and historic engines. He's a very proud owner of an original Otto & Langen free piston atmospheric gas engine (FPAGE) that dates from 1871. Dr Barlow has kindly allowed us to show his collection currently stored at his private museum - the Barlow Museum. Along with the highly desired FPAGE, the Barlow Museum also features some Barlow engines, designed and built by Allen’s paternal grandfather, Ernest Raymond Barlow. Some other noteworthy pieces including two fully functioning 1886 Karl Benz Motorwagens – regarded as the world’s first motor vehicle. There is also a faithful replica of Henry Ford’s first car which is of 1896 vintage and dates back 12 years before the T Model Ford was introduced. He also has a Wayne Grenning reproduction of Otto & Langen engine #1 which collectors visiting the museum enjoy watching in operation. Its now heading back to the workshop to get completed then be shipped to a mine site in the Pilbara to support a dewatering application. With its Polarium high voltage battery and Deutz electronic engine technology , combined with RE's own energy management software , our large hybrid solutions support incoming solar, PCS and generator on a common AC Buss delivering high combined loads at at a PF1, making this 2nd generation solution This particular solution shown has a 150kWh of energy storage , 70kW generator and 70kw PCS (Inverter) which can produce up to 140kw at start up. Any size solar can be added be it 10 or 100kW and more to seamlessly work as one when. Combined with Polariums pressurized propagation system , RE offers the most technically advanced , efficient, safe and compact solution on the market and suits any critical off grid(or grid connected) application.
