The report shows house price growth has slowed significantly, now three times slower than last quarter—the smallest increase since March 2023. Today we announce our CEO Jason Pellegrino will be stepping down from his role as CEO in the coming months after six years leading the business. Under Jason’s helm Domain has been through an enormous transformation. In  2018, Domain was predominantly a media led classifieds business, six years on we are an extensive property marketplace, with people, technology and data at our core. We have built a business with a unique suite of assets that places Domain at the centre of Australia's property ecosystem, helping over seven million Australians achieve their property goals every month. After years of surging prices, growth rates are now tumbling, signalling the end of the post-pandemic rental boom. 📉 Key insights: 🏠 For houses, we’re seeing the lowest September quarter growth rate since 2019. 🏢 For units, it's the weakest since 2020. 💼 Capital cities across the board are experiencing a sharp slowdown in rent increases, with some already in decline.
