We’re proud to be partnering with MITO, Whatukura and Waikato Tainui Iwi for their 10-week Te Waharoa programme, meaning ‘gateway to the trades.’ The programme supports the aspirations of emerging talent, local businesses, and iwi, and allows for a sustainable career pathway. Our role is to help connect rangatahi to our repair network and help them find paid work placements in the final 6 weeks of the programme. AA Insurance’s Chief Operating Officer Simon Hobbs said, “What stood out to us about this programme was the passion and investment the Waikato-Tainui iwi are putting into their rangatahi to ensure they are ready to enter the trades workforce. “Supporting and retaining young talent in the trades is extremely important for our industry and we’re pleased to have the opportunity to work with Te Waharoa to help achieve this. We also want to thank our repairers: Concorde Panel Beaters & Spray Painters; Drive Group East Tamaki; Greenpark Panel & Paint; Main Autocentre; Moselle Panel & Paint; and Sallen Panelbeaters, for opening their doors to teach the rangatahi the essential skill sets required for collision repair. Te Waharoa is a great way to support the emerging talent of tomorrow.”

✨🌏 Happy World Mental Health Day from all of us at Drive Group ✨ 🌏 We're committed to creating a supportive workplace for everyone. Here are 3 essential ways we can all be an ally in the workplace, support mental health, and foster a culture of health and wellbeing. 1. Educate and Communicate: Learn about mental health issues and create a space where open discussions are welcomed. All Drive Group Managers are leading conversations with their teams on World Mental Health Day to promote the day's important message, reiterate available support programs, such as our EAP, and reaffirm our commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for all. 2. Be an Active Listener: Show empathy and be present for your colleagues who may need support. Lending an ear can truly make a world of difference. 3. Be an Advocate and Support Mental Health Initiatives: Use your voice to advocate for mental health and actively promote and engage in supporting initiatives. We recently completed Steptember at Drive Group, a team stepping challenge in support of health and wellbeing, which closed with a donation to an incredible organisation, Beyond Blue. We're so proud of the supportive and inclusive culture we're fostering at Drive Group, where mental health is a priority, today and every day.
