A plot to use a drone to attack critical infrastructure was unsuccessful, thanks to the efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the United States Attorneys' Offices, and the U.S. Department of Justice. The idea to attack an energy facility highlights the vulnerability of our critical infrastructure and the need for US Congress to expand #CounterUAS authorities to owners and operators of #criticalinfrastructure, as well as state, local, tribal, and territorial law enforcement agencies.
