We are proud to announce that Central Queensland University partnered with ECCQ to publish a policy analysis examining the inclusion of seasonal workers in hepatitis B public health policies. The study titled, “Public health policy for temporary seasonal workers with chronic hepatitis B in high-income countries: A comparative analysis” includes a focus on the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility scheme seasonal workers as a priority population. This policy analysis advocates for inclusive policies that explicitly recognise temporary seasonal workers, and its findings highlight the need to prioritise equity for this group to achieve hepatitis B elimination goals by 2030. 🔗You can read the full policy analysis here: https://lnkd.in/gutFAPSX #ECCQ #CQU #research #hepatitisB #policy #healthequity #humanrights #researchhighlight

Very honoured to join the Sunshine Coast Migrant Hub, Caloundra community centre, and Baringa community centre yesterday evening to celebrate what has been a great year for them and, most importantly, their clients. I know that they are doing whatever it takes to create an inclusive and diverse workforce, ensuring individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds are supported to participate in our economy. They go an extra mile, if required, as they attempt to maximize the economic outcomes for multicultural communities in their patch, enabling them to utilise their full potential in education, skills and previous work experience. ECCQ shares this vision with you! Lisa Ward CEO
