With the introduction of several electric aircraft expected over the next few years, many sustainability focused leaders at airports are now asking us, how do I get started? To install permanent infrastructure may take years and the exact installation requirements are impossible to know, but so many are wanting to be ready for these aircraft, lower their carbon footprint but have the flexibility to scale up as demand increases and there is more certainty around technical requirements. Our immediate solution is to provide a simple mobile charger that is powered by 3 phase power available at just about any regional airport. We have both a RAPID 40 and RAPID 80 to serve each location's needs depending on the availability of one or two 3 phase power outlets (40kW or 80kW). Our chargers have been built for the unique needs of aviation both from a technical standpoint and with respect to the types of physical environments they will need to operate in. In fact, our RAPID 80s have been used reliably in several high profile flight test campaigns around the world stacking up many MWhrs of charging to date which has provided valuable knowledge helping us to constantly refine both the physical hardware and software interface in line with our customer's requirements and suggestions. We are now in the final stages of certification ready for multi airport roll outs in several regions globally - many significant networks currently under negotiation allowing connectivity across large areas of the community. Our chargers are extremely light (aluminium case and compact design) and often people can't believe how compact they are for the power they deliver - I actually have one with me in a suitcase on my current flight from Australia (minus the heavier modules) for presentation in our San Francisco event today which you are welcome to attend if not yet at capacity. https://lnkd.in/dVkbYtS4 Next week I will be sharing more insights around charging infrastructure scale up opportunities and standardisation work to make these systems internationally compatible at the ICAO AAM Symposium in Montréal.
