Six years ago, Endometriosis Ambassador Emma Watkins (formerly the Yellow Wiggle) was blindsided by an endometriosis diagnosis - having never even heard of the condition. Conversation, she believes, is one of the most pivotal parts of tackling endometriosis and debilitating reproductive conditions like it. Today, she’s using her platform to passionately advocate for endometriosis awareness,, helping other women feel seen and empowered. Today is R U OK? Day, a national suicide prevention charity dedicated to encouraging us all to stay connected and check in on those around us. You don’t need to be an expert to reach out – just a good friend and a great listener. By building the confidence and skills of everyday help-givers, we can recognise when someone may be struggling and offer support before they reach a crisis. Use these 4 steps to start a conversation that could make a real difference: 1️⃣ Ask, "R U OK?" 2️⃣ Listen 3️⃣ Encourage action 4️⃣ Check in Take the time today to check in with someone. Your conversation could change their life. #RUOKDay #endoaustralia #endometriosisaustralia

The Hon Ged Kearney MP has listened to the intimate and often frightening stories from women across the country, especially those in rural and regional areas who struggle to access timely, specialised care for endometriosis. At the Women's Agenda event for Women’s Health Week, the Hon Ged Kearney MP and Labor shared that they have invested in 22 Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinics to bring essential care closer to home. They’ve also supported Endometriosis Australia’s Workplace Program, ensuring better support for women managing this condition in the workplace. #endoawareness #endometriosisaustralia #womenshealth #pelvicpain #endendo #endo #endometriosis #endoaustralia

Endometriosis Australia at the Women's Agenda Health & Wellbeing Summit 💛 We were proud to attend alongside our ambassador, Julie Snook, for Women’s Health Week! Julie joined the panel to share her lived experience with endometriosis, having been diagnosed at 19 after years of pain growing up in country Australia. Since then, she has undergone many surgeries and continues to advocate for better healthcare access. Julie stated that “It’s ok to start conversations across the table. We need to drive awareness so that those living with endometriosis are heard and supported, especially in regional and rural areas.” Interested in improving access to healthcare for regional communities?
