In life, we all experience ups and downs, and sometimes a simple check-in can make all the difference. Today, take a moment to ask someone, "R U OK?" It could be the conversation that helps them through a difficult time. Reaching out shows you care, and it's a reminder that no one has to go through tough times alone. Your question could change someone's day—or even their life. #RUOKDay #MentalHealthMatters #CheckInWithEachOther Read more: https://zurl.co/GdW7

Engineering the quantum future through world-leading research and technology development
About us
The Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems (EQUS) unites leading researchers from five Australian universities in building quantum machines that harness the full spectrum of quantum physics. Our Centre will pioneer the designer quantum materials, quantum engines, and quantum imaging systems at the heart of these machines. In developing quantum technologies for the future health, economy, environment and security of Australian society, we will move beyond the lab towards practical prototypes and commercial applications, including material simulators, diagnostic technologies and geosurvey tools. We collaborate with Australian SMEs and leading tech companies. Email comms@equs.org to find out more!

🌟 Empowering Future Physicists: Highlights from the Girls-Only Physics Event! 🌟 On August 27, an inspiring event for Year 10-12 girls from three public metro high schools took place at The University of Western Australia . The event, initiated by the Australian Institute of Physics (WA Chapter) and supported by EQUS, Girls in Engineering, @Quantum Girls and Einstein-First Projects, aimed to spark interest in physics among girls from under-resourced communities. 💫 Highlights of the Day: Inspiring Talks: Professor Susan Coppersmith discussed career opportunities in physics, and female physicists from EQUS and the Dark Matter Lab led demos on dark matter and quantum technologies. Interactive Sessions: Students participated in a 'meet and greet' with physicists, hands-on activities, and even tried out a real quantum computer! Positive Feedback: Attendees loved the event, especially the quantum computing and dark matter sessions. 📈 Moving Forward: We look forward to supporting more girls-only STEM events to empower the next generation of women scientists! Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this event! 🌠 #WomenInPhysics #STEMEducation #QuantumComputing #DarkMatter #FutureScientists #GirlsInSTEM
