I had the chance to meet a recruiter through the LinkedIn platform. The recruiter has reached out to me via LinkedIn message as well sending me emails to my email requesting for my CV. Since the recruiter was so persistent, I gave in to the request and sent my resume to her. A tele-interview was set up at 6 pm SYD time. 3 minutes before the meeting, a question was sent to my LinkedIn message asking me why I would like to switch to the industry she is recruiting since I do not have any experience in that industry. I immediately replied that I do have that particular industry but it was long ago hence it wasn't mentioned in my CV. Since it was already a little over 6 pm when I replied, I went ahead to ask the recruiter if she was still proceeding with the call. There was no reply from her until I wrote to her informing her how unpleasant the whole experience was to me. I was disgusted with a person who treats their candidates like thrash the minute they realized that we do not "TICKED" all the boxes!!!!! Has anyone dealt with disgraceful attitudes and if yes, how do you deal with such people? 😡 👿 😓
