Fairfield City Council services over 200,000 people. Our city is diverse, progressive and strives for innovation!
About us
Fairfield City Council (FCC) is an innovative and financially strong council committed to supporting the needs of its multiculturally diverse and resilient community. Fairfield City Council services over 200,000 people – and we’re growing. We are a financially strong and sustainable Council and have been rated so by TCorp in its Local Government audit. Council has a high standard of service delivery and our rates are substantially cheaper than most other Councils in South West Sydney. Fairfield City Council is committed to “pushing the boundaries” of traditional Local Government services. This is evidenced through initiatives such as the exciting Fairfield Adventure Park, Youth and Community Centre, a 24/7 Library project, and Aquatopia water park at Prairiewood that families will find is an affordable alternative to Wet ‘n’ Wild. By delivering these projects Council aims to provide our community with affordable and revitalised services. Our initiatives focus on the community’s priorities of safety, environmental issues, health, transport, education, child and youth based initiatives. In the next 10 years Council will make a significant investment in upgrading infrastructure across the City. We will deliver on upgrades to park frontages, sportsgrounds, town centres, community buildings, and upgrade roads, kerbs, guttering and much more. We are arguably the most diverse and culturally unique in Australia, boasting a rich and special ambience best reflected in the City motto, Celebrating Diversity. The majority of residents speak a language other than English at home, the most common being Vietnamese, Arabic, Assyrian, Cantonese and Spanish.

Last week, Mayor of Fairfield Frank Carbone had the honour of attending the launch of Uplifting. A Celebration of Women Vol. 2, a beautiful creation by Murielle Sassine of VIVID Photography & Imaging. This inspiring book showcases the beauty, strength and resilience of women who have bravely faced breast cancer. Earlier this year, Mayor of Fairfield Frank Carbone proudly contributed $500 from the Mayoral Donation Fund to support this incredible project. This initiative supports the National Breast Cancer Foundation raising both awareness and funds for this cause. So far, Vivid Photography & Imaging has raised over $6000 for the Foundation. Congratulations to Murielle and her amazing team for their dedication and hard work. Your efforts are truly changing lives. 🙌 To purchase a copy of the book, you can visit www.vividimaging.com.au
