INDUSTRY NEWS // Queensland Gov Launches $20M Green Urban Infrastructure Initiative The Green Urban Infrastructure Initiative is in response to the continuous growth within Southeast Queensland resulting in an increased impact on climate change. The area is predicted to grow rapidly from a current population of four million to six million by the year 2046. Council-driven plans of action that the initiative will support include, the promotion of healthy living through urban design, improvement of urban biodiversity and the increase in access to active transport with green features. Simultaneously, the initiative will target a specific area of concern, the urban heat island effect; an environmental crisis that involves the rise of temperatures in highly populated areas. MEET THE TEAM // Max Ellery, Warehouse Storeman Max has been a part of the Fairview team for over a year, working hard in the warehouse on various tasks, including the important job of sending out product samples to architects, builders and installers. One of Max's favourite things about working at Fairview is the supportive culture and how everyone is more than happy to lend a hand. When asked of his greatest achievement he said, "being taught a great work ethic." Max enjoys spending time with his family and friends on the weekends and a hobby he would love to get into is making music because, "who doesn't love music?"
