This achievement means we can now unpack and store products arriving by sea or air that require special attention due to potential biosecurity hazards. The accreditation process was rigorous, demanding stringent standards in both physical handling and comprehensive documentation procedures to safeguard our operations. While food products are often the focus of these inspections, our capabilities extend to a wide range of organic materials, timber, and shipments from regions with known biosecurity risks. With this latest development, FJT Logistics can provide consistent biosecurity inspection services across all our Australian facilities, creating a seamless experience for our clients. Reflecting on her growth, Nikita credits FJT's supportive environment for enabling her to learn and thrive. "I came in knowing nothing about logistics, but FJT gave me opportunities across different departments, and I learned so much along the way," she shares. FJT’s emphasis on hands-on learning allowed her to grow beyond traditional classroom education, a path she chose over pursuing a bachelor’s degree in project management. But our journey began long before FJT Logistics was founded in Australia. Director Alessandro D'Orto ’s passion for the logistics industry started in 1981, at just 17 years old, as a delivery boy for Coe & Clerici S.P.A. in Livorno, Italy. With a family tradition rooted in the wharves of Livorno, hard work and ambition became central to his career. In 1991, Alessandro joined F.J. Tytherleigh Italia S.R.L., where he gained valuable experience that would help shape the future of FJT Logistics. From these humble beginnings to 15 global offices, including our newest in Sydney, we’ve grown by staying true to our values and investing in our people. With 11 employees across three Chinese branches, FJT handles a range of commodities, including furniture, plastics, food, and construction materials.
