#EASA is honoured to have officially received the Flight Safety Foundation’s Jerome Lederer Safety Leadership Medal for its #Data4Safety (D4S) Programme in Cologne last week. Dr. Hassan Shahidi from the Flight Safety Foundation formally presented the award to EASA’s Executive Director - Florian Guillermet, Safety Management, Sustainability and Global Outreach Director - Maria N. Rueda and the D4S Programme Manager - Léopold Viroles. D4S brings together stakeholders from across Europe to collect and cooperatively analyse a massive amount of digital data and #safety reports to identify systemic risks at the European Union level and to mitigate those risks. The Agency also signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Foundation to enhance their cooperation, by leveraging their respective resources to complement each other's actions, and share information, with the aim to strengthen global aviation safety.
