🌿 Celebrating Culture, Community, and Sustainability! 🌿 We are excited to share the inspiring story of the new Native Garden at the Blue Mountains Women’s Health and Resource Centre on Dharug and Gundungurra Country, developed in partnership with Wagana Aboriginal Dancers and the EM-power Foundation. This vibrant space serves as a platform for connection, healing, empowerment, and education. A special thank you to everyone who made this native garden and the day of workshops and cultural sharing was so impactful 🙏: 💚 Blue Mountains Women’s Health and Resource Centre for creating a safe space for women to learn, heal, and connect. 💚 Wagana Dancers for sharing your culture through dance and storytelling. 💚 Bush to Bowl for designing, creating, and building this native garden while guiding the community in crafting spice blends. 💚 Felicity Kerslake from the Australian Bush Food Education Centre for leading powerful Bush Medicine and wellness workshops. We’re excited to witness the ongoing impact of this project as it grows, fostering opportunities for First Nations women in the native food and agriculture sectors. 🌿 Read more about this incredible initiative in our full blog post ⬇️ #NativeFoods #FirstNations #CommunityEmpowerment #Sustainability #BushMedicine

If you’re developing a value-added product, one crucial concept you need to understand is the Value Chain. But what exactly is a value chain, and why is it so important? A Value Chain is the entire series of activities involved in delivering a product or service, from initial conception all the way to the final customer. It includes everything from sourcing raw materials to production, marketing, distribution and beyond. Each link in this chain adds value, contributing to the overall quality, efficiency and success of your product. Why Your Value Chain Matters 🛠️ 1⃣ Clarity on Roles and Costs: Many entrepreneurs assume they’ll handle every aspect of their business, but this can lead to burnout and unexpected costs. A well-designed value chain lets you see exactly where your expertise fits best so you can focus on what you do well and collaborate or outsource where necessary. 2⃣ Optimised for Scale: If you aim to scale your business, design your value chain with this in mind. Think backward: start with your end goal and map out each step. Whether you plan to expand regionally, nationally or globally, having a scalable value chain from the start can save you from costly adjustments later. 3⃣ Informed Decision-Making: Breaking down your value chain helps you understand where value is added, costs are incurred, and bottlenecks could arise. This visibility aids strategic decisions, like investing in technologies or partnering with businesses. The Bottom Line: Design Your Value Chain with Intention 🚀 Your value chain isn’t just a series of tasks; it’s a strategic tool that can make or break your business. Play to your strengths and design for growth. Don’t just jump in—map it out, understand your role, and build a value chain that sets your business up for success. In our upcoming Value+d Program, we go through the value chain in detail with personalised support from industry experts to ensure you build yours correctly and in line with your business vision from the get-go. Unfortunately, approximately 85% of new consumer packaged food products fail within the first two years. Why? It often comes down to the lack of solid planning at the outset. Without thorough market research, a robust business model, and detailed financial planning, many products struggle to find their footing. How to avoid this: 🔍 Understand Your Market: If you don’t dive deep into market research, you might not fully grasp your accurate customer profile or what problems you need to solve for them. This intel is the framework to build upon. 📈 Build a Strong Business Model: Think of your business model as your game plan. It lays out where your money will come from, what costs to anticipate, and how your product delivers unique value. Without this, you’re navigating blindly. 💰Plan Your Finances: Proper budgeting and forecasting are essential. If you mismanage your finances, you could face early setbacks that drain your resources, delay your growth and worst case lose a lot of money before you even begin. But here’s the good news: you don’t have to go it alone. Our upcoming Value+d program is a close knit community that provides the support, guidance and resources you need to turn your Value+d dream into reality - methodically with experts. 🌟Check out Program details here: https://tr.ee/oZIjrXMS9S 🌟Apply here: https://tr.ee/Bg5At6s0uF 🌟Or book in a call to chat more here: https://tr.ee/NcOEYEVE4c #FoodBusiness #EntrepreneurJourney #MarketResearch #BusinessModel #FinancialPlanning #StartupSupport #FoodIncubator
