𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀: 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 As featured in today's edition of the The SE Voice we announce a big move to bolster the recruitment, retention, and support of match officials, Football South Australia (FSA) in conjunction with the Limestone Coast Football Association (LCFA) Borad and Clubs have announced several new initiatives endorsed at the recent Presidents Meeting with the Limestone Coast Clubs. Effective immediately, payment rates for match officials have been increased across various grades and age groups, reflecting their critical role in the sport. The pay increase and the new ‘match day supervisor’ appointment not only highlight the importance of our referees but also aim to attract more individuals to officiate matches, ensuring the smooth conduct of games. 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀: Clubs have initiated the appointment of a 'match day supervisor' to ensure a respectful environment and adherence to rules. Supervisors will wear hi-vis vests to stand out from other officials. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 "𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗳" 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻: These new initiatives build on the successful "Respect the Ref" campaign launched in May, which introduced bright orange armbands for referees under 18. This campaign has been instrumental in promoting respect and safeguarding our young officials. As we move forward, these changes will significantly improve the recruitment and retention of referees in the Limestone Coast region. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁.
