Achieving a just transition does not mean accepting a slow transition. At the Berlin Global Dialogue, Dr Forrest laid out our roadmap for delivering Real Zero. Our plan is a practical plan. It is grounded in science and backed by a proven record of industrial delivery. By the end of the decade, Fortescue will have developed and deployed the green technologies needed to eliminate emissions. We will deliver on our target without a reliance on voluntary carbon offsets or unproven solutions like carbon capture and storage. Taking early action is both the right thing to do, and the smart thing to do. It will help drive technology availability and achieve cost reductions that enable wide-scale uptake. Ahead of COP 29, we call on national leaders and industrialists to lay out ambitious and science-based transition plans for achieving Real Zero emissions by no later than 2040. It's been a massive week for us 🚀🚀🚀 We launched zero-emissions vehicles in Vegas and championed bigger ambitions at Climate Week in New York, calling out Net Zero as a mask for inaction, calling for Real Zero, zero use of fossil fuels. This interview with Andrew, our Chairman, and Richard Quest captures the energy we've been bringing to telling our story this week. We'll keep sharing a trickle of stories for the next few days.

Fossil fuel phaseout must be central to the climate plans of companies and countries. We need to see clear phase out targets and green investment roadmaps within the next round of Nationally Determined Contributions set under the Paris Agreemnt. Dr Shanta Barley joined the Global Renewables Alliance in New York to layout out how Fortescue will deliver its Real Zero target and support global decarbonisation goals.
