We are honoured to announce a meaningful new partnership with Australian First Nations supplier, Ngoonee, in memory of David Armstrong, a beloved member of our Solomon Drill and Blast crew who tragically passed away following an incident on site in 2021. Founded by David’s brothers, Ngoonee will provide water carts for our Solomon operations in the Pilbara. The name Ngoonee means brother in the Noongar language, reflecting the strong family values at the heart of the business. We have worked closely with the Armstrong family on this partnership, and with support from the Indigenous Share Services Group (ISSG) under Brindabella, we are committed to ensuring this collaboration thrives.

Leading the green energy revolution begins with a bold vision and even bolder targets. Last week, we hosted China's Premier H.E. Li Qiang at our #FortescueZero Hazelmere Prototype Facility in Perth, Western Australia, where we showcased our cutting-edge technology and our ambitious vision for a sustainable future. Our mission to decarbonise our mining operations by 2030 is more than a target—it's a promise. By setting stretch targets and pushing the boundaries of what is possible, we're not only transforming our own practices but also paving the way for others to follow and redefine heavy industry. Our journey towards a sustainable future is driven by the belief that true leadership means setting the bar higher, continuously daring to innovate and always aiming for the exceptional.

The technology to revolutionise the global steel industry exists now. This week, we welcomed China’s Premier H.E. Li Qiang to tour our #FortescueZero Hazelmere Prototype Facility in Perth, Western Australia, where the Premier gained an insight into our industry-leading decarbonisation technology and received a sample of our revolutionary green iron. Green iron is the end product from processing iron ore into iron without the use of fossil fuels, and instead using only renewable energy. We're transitioning to large-scale renewable power, which will enable us to establish an Australia-China green iron metal supply chain, supplying green metal globally and helping to reduce emissions and send the skies blue in major cities. Our commitment to achieving Real Zero by 2030 and partnering with Chinese industries promises to deliver substantial economic and environmental benefits for both Australia and China and redefine global steel production.
