🔆 Community energy and self-consumption: democratizing energy ⚡🏡 #CommunityEnergy and self-consumption are transforming access to renewable energy, making it possible for more and more people to benefit directly from clean sources such as solar energy. This model, which promotes collaboration between neighbors and communities, is revolutionizing the way we manage and consume energy. 🌞 Solar #SelfConsumption allows households to generate their own electricity through solar panels, while community installations allow several homes or buildings to share the same renewable energy source. This democratization of energy access not only reduces dependence on non-renewable sources, but also helps reduce energy costs. 🏡 The trend towards self-consumption continues to gain momentum, with a steady growth in the installation of rooftop solar panels. More and more communities are participating in projects that make the most of the power of the sun, moving towards a more sustainable and equitable future. 💡 The future of energy is collaborative, sustainable and accessible to all. #CleanEnergy is no longer a luxury, it is a shared reality! 🌍🔋 #FRV #Sustainability

Minister for Energy and Resources, Lily D’Ambrosio MP visited the Terang battery project, key to FRV Australia's energy storage advancement FRV Australia welcomed Victoria's Minister for Energy and Resources, Lily D'Ambrosio, on a visit to our Terang Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project, an important step in building a cleaner, more reliable energy future for Victoria. This project, which includes a 100 megawatt/200 megawatt hour battery is essential for renewable energy storage and will strengthen the region's power grid. It has also been made possible by a $7 million investment from the Victorian Government's Energy Innovation Fund. As stated by Minister for Energy and Resources, Lily D'Ambrosio “The Terang battery is in a strong and strategic part of the grid and will soak up local renewable energy, support lower bills for southwest Victorians and boost economic development.” “The Energy Innovation Fund has been designed to position Victoria at the forefront of the energy transition, with associated benefits for supply chain and skills development - and that's what the Terang battery is bringing.” With the creation of up to 150 jobs during construction, the commitment to local economic growth is evident, supporting communities and providing new opportunities for businesses in the region through site maintenance contracts. Terang positions Victoria as a leader in energy storage, supporting the transition to 95% renewable generation by 2035, and contributes to the goal of 2.6 gigawatts of storage capacity by 2030. We are excited to continue to be part of this transition to a more sustainable future, together with our partners and the local community.

♻️ Solar panel and battery recycling: Our commitment to the circular economy #SolarPanel and #Battery #Recycling is a critical component in the transition to a sustainable energy model. At FRV, we are committed to the circular economy, addressing the associated challenges and promoting innovative solutions. ⚠️ Challenges ⏳ Limited lifetime: Solar panels and batteries have a defined lifetime (generally 25 to 30 years for panels and 5 to 15 years for batteries). Their eventual disposal raises concerns about waste management. 🧪 Material composition: Solar panels contain materials such as silicon, silver, and other rare metals, while batteries include chemical components that can be toxic. Proper separation and recycling of these materials is complex and costly. 🏗️ Lack of recycling infrastructure: The infrastructure for recycling solar panels and batteries is still developing. Many countries lack adequate facilities to process these products at the end of their useful life. 📢 Public awareness: Lack of knowledge and awareness of the importance of solar panel and battery recycling can limit consumer participation in recycling programs. 💡 #Solutions: 🛠️ Comprehensive recycling programs: There is a need to develop and implement recycling programs that ensure the collection and proper treatment of solar panels and batteries at the end of their useful life. 🚀 Innovation in recycling processes: Collaboration with companies specializing in recycling technology to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the processing of materials. 💰 Investment in research and development: To find more sustainable and effective recycling methods, as well as in the creation of new materials that are easier to recycle. 📚 Education and awareness: To educate the community, through awareness campaigns, about the importance of recycling and foster a culture of sustainability. #FRV's commitment to the circular economy not only helps mitigate the environmental impacts of end-of-life solar panels and batteries but also drives the transition to a more responsible and sustainable energy future.

🏠 Solar energy expansion: From rooftops to large-scale 🌞 #SolarEnergy is experiencing a significant boom, not only through large installations, but also through the implementation of panels on residential rooftops. This trend is being driven by initiatives such as the #EuropeanSolarRooftopsInitiative, which seeks to encourage self-consumption and community energy. Here are some key points: 💰 #Affordability and #Sustainability: installing solar panels on rooftops allows homeowners to generate their own electricity, reducing dependence on the grid and lowering energy bills. Every rooftop counts, becoming a small power generating plant. 🌞 Large-scale projects: Along with the growth of home installations, utility-scale projects are booming. These large solar plants contribute significantly to the energy matrix, complementing rooftop production. 🤝 Community benefits: Rooftop solar not only benefits homeowners, but can also strengthen communities. Local energy generation fosters resilience and self-sufficiency. 👩🔧 #TechnologicalInnovations: Advances in solar panel technologies, such as more efficient and cost-effective systems, have facilitated adoption. In addition, tax incentive policies and subsidies have encouraged more people to invest in solar energy. 👨🎓 #Awareness and education: Awareness of the importance of renewable energy and climate change is growing. Education and awareness campaigns help drive the adoption of solar energy solutions throughout the community. With every rooftop that becomes an energy generator, we move closer to a more sustainable future. #CommunityEnergy #SolarRooftops #SelfConsumption
