Running a content business that shares the stories of founders is a huge passion for both me and Farzan. On Founderoo we've had founders who've: 👉 Grown their business 👉 Sold for millions 👉 Closed up shop 👉 Lost thousands 👉 Pivoted 👉 Had mental health problems 👉 Burnt out 👉 Started new ventures 👉 Been on Shark Tank 👉 Worked from a boat 👉 Sold s#x toys No two founder stories are the same! But one thing's consistent among all our founders: they've all taken a leap of faith and followed their passion to push forward on their own paths. Being a founder isn’t just about starting a business—it’s about pursuing an idea you can't shake, solving a problem you're passionate about, and building something that’s yours. It's making something from nothing. It's coming up with an idea and seeing it come to life. When I started my cleaning company in 2002 I distinctly remember doing our first job with my now wife (Sandrita) and someone reaching into their pocket and paying us for the work. It was a seemingly small thing, but this moment woke something up in me. The idea that I could make money outside of a standard job with a funny little idea we'd thought of. Even though the founder route is longer, harder, and filled with uncertainty, the drive to take ownership of your work, and have that sense of freedom makes it all worth it. This week Founderoo newsletter went out to our 1068 subscribers a few hours ago. The link will be in the comments below. Very sad week for us all. 😞

This week at Founderoo, we're deeply saddened to share that we've lost Joel Pringle, one of our earliest featured founders. He was 40 year old. Joel's story of running a successful logo business from his yacht inspired us all. Despite a tough upbringing in Australia, he carved out what looked like a dream life in the Whitsundays, with his partner Eve and their two young kids. Joel was kind and creative - a true Aussie legend conquering his corner of the world. He built a large following on Instagram and lived life very much on his own terms. I reached out to Eve to let her know we're thinking of them all during this difficult time. Joel showed us that with determination and creativity, you can build a business that aligns with your ideal lifestyle. You'll be missed mate. ❤️

Story 121 for Founderoo is with founder Parvez Akther and his company ThriveDesk. 🚀 Parvez started from scratch in Bangladesh and built a SaaS that's now making $30K+ a year. How? By solving a problem he knew inside out - affordable customer support for small businesses. Key takeaways: - Start with what you know - Build a community before the product - Don't be afraid to bootstrap Parvez's journey shows that with hard work and the right idea, you can build something great. It's never easy but if you find a real problem to solve and stay persistent, you'll get there. Check out the full story on Founderoo. It's bloody good! 🔗 Link in the comments.

Founderoo has been grinding away for a while now, and we're finally seeing some real traction from our SEO. It's been a tough journey, but we're not about to quit. Right now, we're hitting a steady 20,000 visitors per month from all over the world. Around 80% of that is pure organic search. Thanks to all the SEO work we've put in (shoutout to Farzan M. 💪), we're confident we can push that to 100,000 visitors a month. We talked to a few SEO experts early on but decided to go solo so we could really get to grips with it ourselves. Farzan dove into Ahrefs, we took Pat Walls' SEO strategy course, and we figured it out as we went. Now, as we keep growing, it's time to start making some money from the site—it's been taking money from Farzan and my wallet for long enough. #founderstories
