Just another reminder of the importance of Agriculture in the world, and the power of social media in sharing its importance. We were humbled when we stumbled across an article in the latest Graziher magazine that had Felicity Burton saying that we were someone she looked up to! Felicity also delivers beef directly to consumers, working hard to spread the positive news about what we all love and do. You too are an inspiration Felicity! Give the write up from Mum below a read. She is very good with her words, and we are so fortunate to have such an incredible role model in her. If you follow us on Facebook and read the write up there you might have even spotted the little hint about us planning to do a Pink Box delivery round at the end of May 🤞🏽. Hope to see a few of you then 😉.
Print media is something you can actually feel the pages of and get lost in words and pictures. Graziher still arrives in our mailbox and makes it to the kitchen table. Yesterday morning when having a cuppa at smoko, I opened the latest issue that had just arrived. It was surreal to get to page 74 and read an article titled ‘New Horizons’ which is a series of interviews with women in beef. Felicity Burton, whom we have never met, was asked to name a woman in the beef industry she admired and why? To read that she loves following the Penfold girls from Four Daughters was surreal. It just blew us away. Social media has a role to empower others and is a way to share information and build a community. To see this article really bought home the power of social media and the importance of sharing why we do what we do. Everyone on the land has a story to tell and we need more of us sharing this so we can connect with others. We share our story so we can build our connections with those who live in the city. When we were delivering our pink beef boxes, we made incredible connections and really got to understand that consumers do want to know about life on the land, they want to connect and they do care about farmers and where their food comes from. We did make contact with Felicity, via social media, and it was great to hear that by following the girls, she gained the courage to get her family branded beef out there again. 👏 We will keep sharing and maybe others will too. Remember that a ripple can make a wave. We also want young girls to believe in themselves. You can do anything you want in life. You just have to be prepared to work hard to make what ever it is you want happen. Work ethic is key! Happy disposition is vital. A little more about why we do what we do. Promote agriculture for all. #fourdaughtersbeef #citycountryconnections #consumers #believeinyourself #havecourage #socialmediainfluences #socialmediainfluencer
