Our friends NI (National Instruments) and Braemac (both sponsors of our first GDevCon ANZ Inc conference in 2023) are putting on a couple of free seminars later this month in Australia. The first seminar is on Tuesday 24th September at CSIRO Lindfield, Sydney (where GDevCon ANZ held their event last year). The second seminar is on Thursday 26th September at Novotel Glen Waverly, Melbourne. The events run from 9am - 4:30pm, and will have a number of presentations from NI, Braemac, and NI Alliance Partners SoftWire Systems and Resonate Systems (also both sponsors of our first GDevCon ANZ event last year). GDevCon is a independent conference run by LabVIEW developers for LabVIEW developers. Remember when NI used to host “NI Days” and other technical symposiums around Australia and New Zealand? Engineers and scientists would gather to hear about the latest products and programming techniques, but much of the value in the day was networking with like-minded peers tackling similar problems, and finding a sense of excitement and optimism about the solutions that could be delivered with the tools we use every day. GDevCon ANZ aims to recreate that feeling of community and build on our knowledge and capability by hosting a technical conference, networking event and hands-on workshop environment all in one. Think of it as the “User group of all User Groups”. Following on from the success of our first GDevCon ANZ, we are pleased to announce the dates for our 2025 conference Can't wait to see you there!

It is with great sadness that we write this post to remember our dear friend Kurt Friday, a founding member of GDevCon ANZ.   Kurt had so much energy for the LabVIEW community, contributed on numerous open source projects, and made the graphical programming scene a brighter place for us all.   Kurt was recognised as a LabVIEW champion late last year. The world has indeed lost a champion, and a great friend of ours.   We will miss him greatly.   Our next GDevCon ANZ event (in May 2025) will be in honour of Kurt.   RIP Kurt
