Recently we had the privilege of hosting students from the Geelong Future Leaders of Industry and Girls Leading Advanced Manufacturing programs for an immersive tour of our facility.   Our General Manager Jason, Health and Safety Coordinator Vanessa, and Reliability, Safety and Process Manager Manuel (Manny) shared insights into the galvanizing process and the innovative work we do every day.   It’s always rewarding to spark curiosity in young minds and encourage them to consider careers in advanced technology and manufacturing.   A big thanks to the Geelong Manufacturing Council and Skilling the Bay for coordinating this program.   We’re proud to support initiatives that help shape the future of our industry. Painting steel and protecting it against corrosion is a multi-step process designed for durability and longevity. Here’s how we do it 👇 We start with abrasive blasting to remove rust, mill scale, and old coatings, ensuring the surface is clean and textured for optimal adhesion. Once prepped, we apply a protective paint system via airless spray, selecting the coating based on the environmental conditions the steel will face. Whether it’s industrial, marine, or structural applications, we ensure the right coating thickness and quality, complete with conformance reports for full transparency. Finally, we take extra care during the curing and packing stages, using protective materials to minimize any transport damage. This process ensures that your steel remains corrosion-resistant, aesthetically pleasing, and ready for the toughest environments.

Big things are happening in our Pre-Treatment Area 🚛 This morning, we received our brand-new acid tank all the way from Albury. After being craned into place, it’s set to be blasted, painted, and internally fiberglassed before installation later this year. Over Christmas, we'll be swapping it in while we refurbish another tank. Exciting improvements ahead to keep our galvanizing process running smoothly.
