We join forces with Therapyside to provide the best mental health care and quality emotional support. We are proud to accompany our students before, during and after their trip to Australia. In July 2022, I started my Diploma journey as an International Student. Today, I am a Permanent Resident and the Events Coordinator for one of the top charities in Australia. As events professionals, we are used to blending in the background like ninjas during events. A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to jump to the other side of an event. I was delighted to be invited by TAFE International Western Australia (TIWA) to give a speech to their education agents about my story as an International Student in WA. Bonus point, I got to go back to my own campus at South Metropolitan TAFE. It is always bittersweet reflecting on my time as a student. I enjoyed my studies and am very proud of what I have achieved, but the road definitely wasn’t easy. International Students have many people advocating for them and working towards helping them achieve their goals. But not many voices have been through the actual process. It is an honour to be able to be one of these voices and share the journey of so many of us through my own story. Education Agents are a beacon of hope in international education, working tirelessly to help us achieve our dreams. My beacon of hope was Astride Pillier at Go Study Australia. In July 2022, I started my Diploma journey as an International Student. Today, I am a Permanent Resident and the Events Coordinator for one of the top charities in Australia thanks to the people who’ve helped me shape my path.
