🌊 **Navigating New Horizons: Coomera Marine Precinct at the Forefront of Marine Careers and Opportunities** Last Saturday, the Coomera Marine Precinct was abuzz with future marine professionals and industry veterans, as over 1,200 attendees gathered for the second annual Gold Coast Marine Jobs & Careers Expo. This pivotal event, hosted by the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX), the Boating Industry Association (BIA), and Marine Jobs, offered a unique platform for career exploration and networking within the marine sector. Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard (GCCM), a key participant and venue for the expo, demonstrated once again why it stands as a beacon of excellence and opportunity in the marine industry. Andrew Chapman, Chief Operations Officer at GCCM, highlighted the event's significance: "Every day, around 700 people attend onsite to build, repair, refit, and maintain all sizes and shapes of vessels, from leisure boats to the awe-inspiring Superyachts. The expo not only showcases what GCCM has to offer but also plays a crucial role in our ongoing expansion, which aims to create opportunities for an additional 1,000 people in the foreseeable future." The expo was not just a hub for job seekers but also a fertile ground for developing business relationships and understanding the dynamic needs of the marine industry. From technical tours offering an up-close look at cutting-edge marine engineering to panels discussing pathways into maritime careers, the event catered to a diverse audience, including students, career changers, and seasoned professionals. As we look towards the future, GCCM continues to invest in the community and foster the growth of the marine industry. Over the last few days the Gibbs & Cox Australia maritime autonomy team along with our production partners have prepped, packed and shipped our first EMAPS delivery to the USA. Hopefully one of many export events to come. To say the team gave their all feels like an understatement. Incredibly proud of this crew. In spite of a number of last minute challenges, they kept their cool, stayed positive and kind, triaged the issues, worked the problems at pace around the clock, and got the boat off the yard. A champion performance. Leidos Gibbs & Cox DLBA Naval Architects, a Gibbs & Cox Division Leidos Australia Leidos Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard (GCCM) Hybrid Composites
