This is the last staff photograph taken at the Perth branch of the Royal Mint. With ownership transferring to the Western Australian government in June 1970, all staff moved to the State Public Service in a defining change that paved the way for many exciting new developments. It was great to host our friends Deepak Sharma and Satish Nair from the Indian Society of WA (ISWA) as they prepare for their annual Diwali Mela Festival of India next month. ✨ Meet our refinery maintenance team ✨ With their range of specialities, they’ve come together to be part of our refinery’s mission to redefine refining. The strategic work to modernise our refinery is a step towards processing precious metals sustainably and safely. We're working with world-leading equipment makers to innovate, research and develop our facility to ensure we've got the most up-to-date plant available. The maintenance team supports our modernisation program and ensures the equipment is ready for operation. For us, the biggest benefit of these upgrades is the significant reduction in our people’s exposure to molten metal, which is a major advance in safety, something that is always our highest priority. #ThePerthMint #Refinery
