Have you ever tried a pipi/kuti straight from the ocean? The humble Goolwa pipi's juicy flesh tastes like a fresh afternoon dip in the sea, followed by a sweet, nutty aftertaste that will make you reach for another. #pipirevolution #sustainableseafood #handharvested

The spring weather gods were smiling upon us for our photoshoot. Here's a little behind-the-scenes 'taster' of what we got up to. Thanks to the very talented, and incredibly patient, photographer Jacqui Way for keeping us all on brief. Shout out to our good friends Brendan and Millie from Kuti Shack and Billy Dohnt for delivering mouth-watering pipi dishes in the Shack and on the beach. Let's not forget Stevie and Sammy from the KutiCo crew who swapped their pipi rakes for a day on the sandy catwalk! #pipirevolution #cookingwithpipis #sustainableseafood #handharvested

Ngarrindjeri country runs west from Cape Jervis, past Kangaroo Island, and east to Cape Jaffa, along the Younghusband Peninsula, straddling the Murray River Mouth, where you can find kuti midden sites pocketed in the dunes that date back to over 8500 years ago. Ngarrindjeri country has always provided for its people, with kuti being a dietary staple. We're honoured that our Ngarrindjeri commercial partners, Kuti Co, share their knowledge of country and the kuti fishery with us - https://lnkd.in/g_Nm4GV7 #ngarrindjericountry #kuti #sustainableseafood #handharvested

Goolwa PipiCo is proud to bear the coveted Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) 'Blue Tick of Approval', a mark that can only be used by fishermen who catch sustainably using the most careful techniques.   We honour our heritage and protect our marine environment because it's best for the entire community. Have you ever wondered how a Goolwa Pipico pipi/kuti makes its way to your plate? It all starts with our dedicated harvest crews, who head out to the pristine waters off the Coorong/Kurrangk National Park while most of us are still asleep. Using their feet, a rake, and the traditional "pipi shuffle," they hand harvest their daily catch of pipis. Once collected, the pipis are swiftly transported to our state-of-the-art processing facility in Port Elliot. They are carefully graded by size and filtered in seawater to remove any grit. Finally, we use cutting-edge packing technology to preserve their freshness, ensuring they're ready for you to enjoy. Whether you prefer them slathered in garlic butter and cooked on the barbecue, tossed through pasta, or stir-fried in XO sauce - Goolwa PipiCo pipis are perfect for any dish. #pipirevolution #sustainableseafood #handharvested
