The Audit Office of NSW submitted to state Parliament its report on the Regional Digital Connectivity program (RDCP), created to improve mobile coverage and internet connectivity in regional NSW. The audit examined if the Department of Regional NSW effectively met program objectives - reported oversights in project and risk management caused significant delays, directly impacting the success of digital government service delivery in regional communities. In 2020, Bundaberg Regional Council launched its One Million Trees project, a digital initiative to plant one million trees in the council area by the end of 2024 towards its net-zero target.
