A national architectural practice with studios in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney.
About us
Gray Puksand is a national architectural practice with studios on the lands of the Kulin Nation, the Eora Nation, the Ngunnawal and the Yuggera. We collaborate with clients from multiple sectors, and across our studios to create spaces that improve how people work, learn, and live. At Gray Puksand, we place people first, we build on knowledge, we lead through design, and we inspire. We’re proud to make a meaningful contribution. That’s been a hallmark of our practice for over 30 years. For us, what is more important than seeing a completed building is remembering the way we got there, and the difference that building will make. That is our legacy.

Incorporating neurodiverse design principles in our projects ensures that spaces are accessible, comfortable, and supportive, enhancing wellbeing and productivity for everyone. In our most recent blog, we explore how these principles have been incorporated across several of Gray Puksand's recent workspace and education projects. Our design for the innovative William Angliss Institute Tram Café was recently featured in Best Cafe Designs. Gray Puksand’s National Education Lead, Mark Freeman sat down with the publication to explore the inspiration behind restoring the historic W class tram, the process behind transforming it into a fully functioning café and how the project enhances the Institute's training capabilities. "As an acknowledged and respected provider of culinary skills and hospitality training, the repurposing of a historic tram as the centrepiece of [William Angliss Institute's] Melbourne city campus was envisaged to provide students with a unique training venue," said Mark.
