🌟 After months of research and feedback from our community, we're excited to launch the preview of our new ebook: "Uncommon Tools for Common Workplace Problems: Harnessing The Power of Human Conversations in a Digital World." In a time where technology often hinders face-to-face communication and interpersonal skill development, investing in social fitness is more important than ever for well-being and high performance. "We call them ‘uncommon’ because, in an age of technology, these tools are people-focused, immersive, democratic, tactile, and visual. Being technology-free and reliant on people-participation to succeed, they are often overlooked." What makes our uncommon tools successful? 🗨 In our technology-driven world, our people-focused tools encourage diversity, inclusivity, and genuine engagement. 🗨 They provide the prompts to help you become better at listening, questioning, contributing, connecting, and acting. 🗨 Everyone is heard, and no one dominates, optimizing diversity within the group. 🗨 They draw out the best conversational skills to create genuine connections, better ideas, and a positive dynamic. 🗨 Rather than reinventing your current approach, they integrate and elevate it. 🗨 Participants learn by doing and reflecting, acquiring skills they can transfer to other contexts and situations. Download the preview at https://lnkd.in/gQCZU269. Huge congratulations to Tess Julian, Allan Ryan -∆ and Leisl Kimber! Sandra Loader (BSc. With an 'Ideas-First' approach to nurture innovation and effective strategy execution. It's a unique approach built from 20 years of experience, research and collaboration, with novel tools that actively engage everyone. * Open Questions and Question Canvases focus on allowing people to raise issues safely, stimulate discussion and ideas, and agree on actions. * Collaboration skills and framework outline the habits and behaviours that underpin healthy collaboration. * Innovation Mindset and Framework identify innovation strengths and your role in helping innovation happen. * 123 Innovate (See Think Do) to see opportunities and think through ideas and challenges. * Storytelling to understand and capture how and where innovation is happening and recognise the people making change happen. * Sensemaking to unravel complex challenges and arrive at practicable actions. (Delivered through DECODE, our 6-step approach to problem-solving.) * And Serious Fun to enhance collaboration, productivity, and well-being. The 'fun' aspect entails engaging people in activities that foster stronger relationships, creativity, and innovation. Yet 'serious' as participants tackle real issues, develop outcomes, and commit to action and driving change. With engagement and performance at a low, you may be wondering whether to 'build, buy, or bot' a solution. But before deciding, it's crucial to ask the right questions to get to the nub of the problem, the unknown unknowns or uncomfortable knowns. So, what are the right questions, and how do you give people permission to ask them or find the courage to ask them yourself? At Hargraves, we've been exploring this conundrum for years: How can we help people frame and pose questions that reveal hidden, sometimes sensitive issues - the questions that we don’t normally ask or answer? Backed by 20 years of research and experience, we're excited to have Allan Ryan -∆ sharing our collaborative approach at the #HRTechSummit next week in #Sydney. Join us to discover tools and practical strategies to help you ask the right questions and engage everyone in making informed decisions before you commit to a solution. #HRInsights #HRInnovation #FutureOfWork

Working with clinicians to examine the quality of their practice, I would often find that doctors felt pretty confident they were approaching the treatment of a condition in the right way. And I used to say, ‘if it’s not recorded in the notes, how do you know?’ Professionals often develop an innate understanding of what needs to be done based on a combination of knowledge, experience and intuition. This agile mental framework provides the foundation for building on what is already known, assessing what is unknown, and experimenting to find the best solution to the current environment. It is called knowing-in-action. Come along to our workshop on 2nd August to learn more and join a conversation with like-minded professionals about how to make the best use of evidence to optimise performance of for-purpose and not-for-profit organisations.
