Hawkeye Managing Director Wayne Hourquebie and Operations Manager Shay Devenny attended the June luncheon at Optus Stadium. Keynote presenter IGO Managing Director and CEO Ivan Vella provided detailed commentary on the lithium market, electric vehicle uptake, consumer concerns and future opportunities. With our business experience in surveying nickel and lithium production projects it was fascinating to consider the lithium market supply and battery concerns, how IGO is establishing, and maintaining the trust of company stakeholders, through to product manufacture and innovations, consumer awareness and scepticism, demands and uptake. These industry events provide valuable input to our business. They offer a great opportunity to network with our current and potential clients, and to consider the appetite for growth, advancements, and innovations within various resource industries that we deliver survey outcomes to.

17 degrees and mostly cloudy in Perth and nothing but blue skies and sunshine surveying the rail in the Pilbara. Our team are using Trimble Geospatial’s Dual Trolley GEDO CE System to efficiently capture highly accurate data and detailed information about the rail network and associated infrastructure for our valued Client. Thanks to UPG (Ultimate Positioning Group) for supplying the equipment and Peter Thomson for training up the troops! It’s really interesting and dynamic survey work. Only 8km to go boys! ☀️🛤️✨

The scope includes Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation Construction for the next phase of the Pilgangoora P680 Expansion Project, located 120km south of Port Hedland, WA. 🆓🎓 We are giving more in '24🎓🆓 Premier Roger Cook and Minister for Training Simone McGurk officially launched the FEE FREE initiative for 2024 at our East Perth Campus this morning. A group of our surveying students gave the Premier and Minister a demonstration of the surveying equipment they have been learning to operate as part of their free training this year. The continuation of the FEE FREE initiative is thanks to the ongoing partnership between the Federal and State Governments and will enable more Western Australians to take up training opportunities in 130 qualifications and Skill Sets in 2024.
