We have again been ranked by The Times as one of the UK’s top commercial disputes practices. The Times described HFW as “a disputes powerhouse – [it] handles more commercial litigation in the English Commercial Court than any other law firm". The rankings are based on a survey of more than 4,300 solicitors across England, Wales, and Scotland. Less than 3% of law firms recommended by respondents made it into the final rankings. We have been ranked every year since The Times first published its report. Last week we had the honour of co-hosting an event with Citi UK Disability and Neurodiversity Network on the topic of Disability and Neurodiversity in the Workplace.   On the panel was Michelle Chance, a Partner leading our London Employment team, Slava Kiryushin, a Partner in our Dubai Construction team, and from Citi, James Ellery-Gower and Lucia McCombe. The panel shared their lived experiences with disability and neurodiversity, from experiences with their own diagnosis to caregiving responsibilities. HFW Partner Matthew Knox and Special Counsel Lauren Zambotti from our Perth office delivered a guest lecture yesterday to existing professionals and the next generation of lawyers at Curtin Law School, on competition law and Australia's energy markets. The discussion addressed energy industry regulation, infrastructure access and the important issue of market power in electricity and gas markets in Australia. Matthew and Lauren and also delved into how the government and regulators are trying to curb it. This is an evolving, fast-moving area that is critical for households, businesses, ensuring that Australia unlocks all of the benefits of the energy transition.
