⭐HIA has submitted its 2025-26 Pre-Budget Submission to Treasury, urging urgent reforms to address Australia’s growing housing crisis. With 240,000 homes needed per year to meet demand, but completions falling well short, we recommend a long-term focus on the following:   ✅ Fixing skill shortages – Fund apprenticeships, streamline visas, and promote trades. ✅ Removing barriers to housing supply – Cut red tape, reform planning, and invest in infrastructure. ✅ Support homeownership – Expand government schemes, ease lending restrictions, and increase funding for affordable housing.
