About us
The Hotel Steyne is one of Manly's oldest buildings, the original pub was built in 1859 before a mysterious fire burnt the famous pub to the ground. Final renovations were made to the business in 1936 when Tooth purchased the building, since then it has become a registered heritage building. From the day the doors first opened The Hotel Steyne has been involved in all community aspects and events, earning its name as Manly's true local. The Hotel Steyne is constantly changing with the times, now with an impressive six bars and accommodation facilities the pub has something to offer everyone. Boasting ocean views, relaxed family friendly atmosphere and a variety of entertainment for all ages the Hotel Steyne really is a classic that has proven it will never go out of style.

A familiar face to Round Bar, Simon stands at the helm of the Magic's Golf Team, however has been hanging around far longer than it's inception, meaning he has more than a few stories to share 🍻 Whilst we've heard rumours the Magic's Golf Team originally had more to do with the post-round beers, Simon assures us long punts and repeated birdies are commonplace, showcasing the golfing prowess of the team. From running down the corso chasing ID thieves, to hosting a weekly run club that starts and ends at the Steyne, Connor, founder of Code 5 Fitness Australia has plenty of stories to tell. He sits down today to share a Round Bar Tale that involves, as he puts it, "An Australian Boxer, an atomic wedgie and a rundown tackle through the Corso". As you'll hear, the thief at the centre of this tale may have fared better if he joined Code 5's weekly run club, taking off every Friday at 5:55am before a dip and coffee at the Steyne.
