Congratulations to Icon Cancer Centre - Australia & New Zealand Radiation Oncologist, Dr Pat Bowden and the research team who were featured in The Australian on their landmark TRANSFORM trial recently published the five-year results of the trial in the International Journal of Cancer (IJC). The trial found that stereotactic radiation therapy for metastatic prostate cancer can delay other forms of treatment for more than five years for many patients. Icon has 97% stereotactic coverage across our global network of cancer centres and continues to invest in clinical trials and the latest technologies to advance cancer care. PCFA announced a landmark three-year research partnership with ANZUP Cancer Trials Group Limited aimed at accelerating clinical trials and advancements in prostate cancer treatment. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in Australia with more than 26,000 men expected to be diagnosed this year.
