We know that COVID-19 has permanently changed the way we work. One significant outcome for many families has been the normalisation of work-from-home and workplace flexibility. However, in some sectors, flexible work arrangements are being wound back. So, they’ve been introduced, but are they here to stay? At our next Social Impact Summit Quarterly, we’re exploring how measuring and evaluation can demonstrate the value of family–friendly practices. We're thrilled to welcome Emma Walsh, CEO Parents At Work, who'll join Paula Cowan, Managing Director, and Sara Caspani, Senior Impact Advisor at ImpactInstitute for a fireside chat on the origins and evolution of the family-friendly workplace movement. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain knowledge from industry leaders and create a workplace where everyone can thrive! We’ve all seen it—the relentless images of “perfect health” that make wellness feel like a distant dream. But what if there was a different way to think about being healthy? In this episode of The CMO Show, AIA CMO Stuart A. Spencer invites us to shift our perspective on health. With a career shaped by resilience and a mission to democratise wellness, Stuart shares AIA’s vision to transform health in APAC and empower individuals to find their own path to wellness—no six-packs or salmon salads required. https://lnkd.in/gUcgyKTX

Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of hosting our very first WorkAbility Expo, alongside our Brisbane Disability Expo. Fantastic to see a whopping 4,000 people turn out for the combined event! In addition to disability-specific employment services, education and training providers, advocacy groups, and government agencies, we were joined by open employers such as Woolworths, RACQ, John Badwater Consulting, and the NDIA. The employer lounge fostered meaningful conversations between jobseekers and employers, away from the main exhibition floor’s hustle and bustle. Tash Murabi, Talent Acquisition Manager (RACQ), was among the many who participated and noted that they found the experience valuable not only from a talent acquisition perspective but also as an opportunity to engage with stakeholders and improve their internal processes and plans for diverse employment. In addition to the employer lounge, workshops for people with disabilities were held to packed audiences (and furious note-takers) eager for information. Topics included funding, reasonable workplace adjustments, employment readiness for people with disabilities, and advice on building a career as an entrepreneur. Why WorkAbility Expos? As Paralympian and Disability Advocate Ellie Cole AM PLY said, “When we employ somebody with a disability, it sends a really powerful statement about the communities that we want to create, and sends a real statement about what our culture looks like within Australia as well.” Keen to learn more? As marketers, it's easy to rely on experience and accumulated wisdom as a default decision-making lens, especially when it comes to your bread and butter. But let’s shake it up. On this episode of The CMO Show, Mark chats to Professor Rachel Kennedy, Associate Director, Product Development, at the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science based in the University of South Australia. Rachel shares her insights into how the science of marketing either dispels or supports intuition, assumption and common marketing ‘myths’. Enjoy! https://lnkd.in/gV2wKwGT
