Incisive Technologies, based in Melbourne Australia, is developing a novel diagnostic for the oral health sector, which is highly sensitive in detecting early-stage tooth decay. The product is a dental paint applied to the teeth by an oral health professional (dentist, orthodontist, hygienist) during regular check-ups to detect problems early so that preventive measures can be used, including remineralisation and better patient education. This approach to oral health helps patients avoid painful and costly restoration due to cavities and assists dentists to implement best-practice preventive care.
