Farming in an increasingly sustainable way while improving productivity is front of mind for many Australian growers. A major focus of IPF’s R&D team around Enhanced Efficiency Fertilisers (EEFs) like eNpower® and Green Urea NV®, is to not only reduce emissions of GHGs but also to provide growers with better nutrient use efficiency, minimising losses and maintaining the nitrogen in the soil for crop growth cycles. Discover how IPF’s R&D team is making it easier to measure and reduce emissions on-farm on page 5 of our Dig Deep Magazine: https://bit.ly/4d2FHuj #DigDeep #EEF

Our industry is at the heart of Australia's agricultural future! During the week at the Fertilizer Australia Conference Dinner, IPF President, Scott Bowman, highlighted the critical role fertilisers play in driving agricultural productivity and sustainability. With global population growth pushing demand for food higher, Australia’s farmers are positioned to lead the way. Scott's message to the audience was that farmers need to be empowered by the surety of supply, to help them be more productive. Our industry is stepping up, ensuring farmers have the nutrients and know-how they need to succeed in a complex global environment. #Agriculture #FertiliserAustralia #IncitecPivotFertilisers

It was a great opportunity to meet with growers and industry people at the PotatoLink Roadshow at Bungaree in Victoria last week. Phil Hoult, IPF Farm Services Manager presented the basics of potato crop nutrition, particularly a big focus on using eNpower in potatoes for this coming planting season.

We had an excellent week at the IPF long-term N*P trial in Grenfell NSW established by IPF Senior Technical Agronomist, Jim Laycock in 2007. Over 100 customers including agronomists and farmers have visited the site this week. The theme is greenhouse gas (GHG) and ammonia emissions from N fertilisers and comparing eNpower and Green UreaNV to conventional urea treatments. Some promising results so far with great reception and anticipation from the agronomy community. Stay tuned for further updates on these trials in the coming months!

We are thrilled to extend our warm congratulations to Ross Munro from BMC Partnerships for being honoured with the 2024 IPF Service to the Cotton Industry Award.
The prestigious Incitec Pivot Fertilisers Service to the Cotton Industry Award for 2024 was awarded to Ross Munro from BMC Partnerships in Moree. Ross started his relationship with cotton in the 1970’s working alongside his father. They were establishing a business growing cotton and having conversations about starting a cotton transportation business. Later he would become responsible for operating infield loaders, loading flat top trucks and transporting cotton modules on chainbeds. Ross began pulling apart, redesigning and remodifying these machines in the name of ‘efficiency’. He travelled to America to develop a greater understanding of how the US was transporting cotton and conducting internal gin movements. On returning to Australia, Ross met Danny and John Burke who were providing a similar offering in the market, they teamed up and formed what is known today as BMC partnership. Cotton Australia CEO Adam Kay said Ross has a well-deserved reputation for offering advice and a helping hand to anyone in the industry. “Whether it’s about machinery setups, designing bale grabs or generally helping people to be more efficient at harvesting and moving cotton, Ross always makes himself available. He is a great sounding board on which configurations pick the best and the pros and cons of all the different dryland configurations. Growers and machinery manufacturers are always calling in to see Ross to get some of his intimate knowledge of the industry, and I am sure they will all join me today in congratulating him on this achievement.”
