📈 🏠The relationship between average income and average rent in Australia. Today, in 2024, the average rent stands at a hefty $2,000 per month, while the average income sits at $50,000 annually. But let's rewind the clock to 1990, where the average rent was a mere $500, and the average income was $30,000 annually. 🕰️ 1990 vs. 2024: Fast forward to today, and what do we see? Rent has skyrocketed fourfold, hitting $2,000, while income has only seen a modest increase, barely doubling to $50,000. This stark comparison paints a clear picture: while housing costs have soared, income growth hasn't kept pace. This imbalance poses significant challenges for individuals and families across the country. With rent gobbling up a larger chunk of income, many Aussies are left grappling with the ever-present strain of housing affordability. 💼 Government Intervention: Now, the big question arises: does the government need to rectify their system to maintain the economy and ensure people don't get ripped off or underpaid? As we navigate through these disparities, it's crucial for policymakers to consider interventions that promote fair wages, affordable housing, and sustainable economic growth. How do you perceive this comparison? Do you think it accurately reflects the financial realities of Australians today? Share your thoughts in the comments below and let's discuss. #IncomeVsRent #HousingAffordability #AustralianEconomy

📢 Starting from July 1, 2024, migration skills assessment fees in Australia will be going up by 3-4% to align with the consumer price index, wage price index, and producer price index. These changes have been given the nod by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations 🔍 What is skills assessment ? Skills assessment is a crucial step for anyone eyeing migration to Australia. It's a process where individuals must prove that their qualifications and experience meet the standards required for their chosen occupation Down Under. For instance, if you're from Singapore and fancy being an accountant in Australia, you'd need to show that your qualifications and experience as an accountant meet Aussie standards. 🤔 My Thoughts about the increasing fees… But hey, let's have a chat about something that's been on my mind. With the rise in visa fees, skills assessment fees, and other test fees, are wages and salaries keeping pace? It's a bit of a mixed bag, if you ask me. Many migrants here work their socks off to cover these costs on top of their regular bills and financial commitments back home. I've heard stories from people taking on multiple jobs just to scrape by and save up for that elusive Permanent Resident Visa. But even then, some still find themselves falling short. Shouldn't the government be looking into this to maintain a fair balance? Point to be discussed 🗓️ Join the Discussion! If you're nodding along or have similar experiences, let's chat more at our upcoming event about the Pathway to PR. It's happening on March 21st, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. And guess what? It's completely FREE! So, mark your calendars and register using the link below.
