The new specialist disability employment program, to replace the current Disability Employment Services, is named Inclusive Employment Australia - Finding careers for people with disability. The program will help people with disability, injury or a health condition prepare for, find and maintain work. It will improve and simplify services for people looking for work, as well as employers and service providers. The Centre for Inclusive Employment, previously known as the Disability Employment Centre of Excellence, will also support disability employment. It will be an evidence-informed, best-practice hub that provides resources, tools, and training to help providers deliver quality employment services for people with disability. Australia’s Disability Strategy 2021-2031 has been reviewed and updated based on feedback from people with disability and the wider community. In this video, Jane Spring, Chair of the Australia’s Disability Strategy Advisory Council, talks about the vision for the Strategy. The updated Strategy is accompanied by: • 3 new Targeted Action Plans. • The Third Targeted Action Plans Report. • A revised Data Improvement Plan. • A Guide to Applying ADS.
