On September 21st, the Linfield Korean School's Hangeul Sarang Library, supported by KCCA, held its 15th-anniversary fundraising concert. Hangeul Sarang Library, the only Korean library in Sydney, was established 15 years ago thanks to a generous 100 million KRW donation from Geun-young Moon, aiming to promote the Korean language. The library now holds over 16,000 Korean books and a collection of DVDs, accessible to everyone from children as young as 4 to adults. It serves the local community and Korean diaspora, opening regularly every Wednesday (11:00 AM – 1:30 PM) and Saturday (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM). KCCA was proud to support and participate in this meaningful event, contributing to the continued growth of this invaluable cultural resource.

Last week, KCCA(Ben Bosung Kim) and JCCI (Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Keigo Gohda) hosted a joint event called 'Asian Alliance Day' for the first time. This was a great event to gather 28 key representative companies from Korea and Japan to discuss current market updates in Australia and seek further collaboration between Korean and Japanese companies. Japan and Korea are the 2nd and 3rd largest trading partners for Australia, playing a significant role in Australian business. Hence, the collaboration between KCCA and JCCI will play a more important role in the future. Marc Upcroft, the National Mining Leader from PwC Australia, discussed the financial performance of the Top 40 mining companies, focusing on critical minerals and the importance of decarbonisation. Con (Constantine) Boulougouris and Geread Dooley from Minter Ellison have shared M&A market updates, indicating that the Australian M&A market is more active than that of any other country. They also shared insights into Australian M&A opportunities, including those in public markets and key industries such as energy and resources, decarbonisation, and logistics. Both KCCA and JCCI are keen to further collaborate to contribute to the Australian economy and support bilateral relationships between their respective countries and Australia. * Participated Companies included : POSCO Australia, Korean Air, KEB Hana Bank, KC, H&H Lawyers, Human Resources Development Service of Korea, Nonghyup Bank, Asiana Airlines, Wentworth Lawyers, GS Global, Taihan Cable & Solution, Mitsui Resource, JFE, JFE Shoji, Nippon Steel, Itochu, Sumitomo Australia, Mizuho Bank, MUFG Bank, PwC Australia, MinterEllison #KCCA #JCCI #AsianAlliance #CriticalMinerals #Decarbonisation #KoreaAustralia #JapanAustralia #PwC #MinterEllison
