This June, our team is taking on the Push Up Challenge! From the 5th to the 28th, we'll be completing 3,249 push-ups, a number that tragically represents the lives lost to suicide in 2022. We're fundraising for Lifeline Albury Wodonga, a local organisation dedicated to improving mental health in our community. With just over a week to go, we invite you to donate and support this cause. Remember, donations over $2 are tax-deductible, making this a great opportunity for businesses looking to contribute before the end of the financial year. This week is International Men's Health Week and it’s an opportunity to shine a light on the importance of men's well-being. From mental health to physical fitness, it's crucial to take proactive steps in maintaining overall health. Encourage the men in your life to get regular check-ups, talk about their mental health, and adopt healthy lifestyle habits. If you are an employer it’s important to look out for those around you. Together, we can support and promote a healthier, happier future for all men.

Having grown up on a family farming property, Elizabeth has focused on regional and rural issues, particularly water law and governance arrangements. Since joining Kell Moore in 2022, her skills and experience have been invaluable to our rural clients. She has also developed an interest in commercial and business matters, leasing, estate planning, and probate. Before joining our team, Elizabeth gained valuable experience in legal and parliamentary roles across Adelaide, Broken Hill, and Albury. Last month Elizabeth volunteered in a pro bono Wills Day organised by the Hume Riverina Community Legal Service to draft wills for free for those in need. It was a great day with many people helped! If you would like Elizabeth to help you with your legal needs get in touch with our Albury office 📞 (02) 6021 2844 📧 albury@kellmoore.com.au

As an employer, it's vital to prioritise the mental health of your team in the workplace. Regardless of role or position, every individual deserves access to the support necessary for their mental well-being. With changes to the Commonwealth Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS Act), employers now have a legal obligation to ensure the mental health and well-being of their staff. Simply put, it's the employer's responsibility to safeguard mental and emotional safety, just like physical safety. A workplace that fosters employee mental health not only attracts the right talent but also reduces costs, boosts productivity, and lowers turnover rates.

Email scams are on the rise and getting even more sophisticated every day. At Kell Moore, we will always verify bank details via phone calls for any transaction for your business or personal matters. We think of this extra step as another form of multi-factor authentication, we just don’t ask for a code sent to your phone. Your privacy and cybersecurity matter to us, regardless of the legal matter at hand. If you have any questions about our protocols, feel free to reach out and speak with our team 📞 (02) 6021 2844

Since joining our Corowa office in 2012, and with more than 25 years’ experience in real estate and property conveyancing, Wendy Robb has played a central role in assisting countless families and individuals purchase (or sell) homes and land across both sides of the Border. We are thankful for Wendy’s contribution to the Kell Moore team and ask that you join us in wishing Wendy all the best for her next role – her upcoming retirement.
