Founder and stylist Kevin Murphy introduced his namesake professional line to fill a need in the world of session styling. While working on set, Murphy found his looks often fell flat.     Earlier this month we hosted the APAC 2024 TRAIN.ME event at the KEVIN.MURPHY headquarters in Brisbane, Australia. This event, held over 5 days, brought together KEYS and educators from Australia, New Zealand, India, Malaysia, and Taiwan. Educators from the CUT, COLOUR, and STYLE teams were introduced to the 2025 PEOPLE COLLECTION, received 2025 class updates, and had their first look at CODE classes, along with an afternoon focused on developing their presentation skills with mindfulness and group activities. We extend our congratulations to Albee Chan from R Beaute in Malaysia and Suhan Shaikh from Streamline India for achieving their GOLD.KEYS! 🗝️ This accomplishment reflects their hard work and dedication to the KEVIN.MURPHY brand and we are so proud of their achievements 👏 #WeAreKM #KEVINMURPHY

    A Personal Journey to Wellness at KEVIN.MURPHY   At KEVIN.MURPHY, mental health is a priority, not just a buzzword. Recently, we embraced the Calm App, and the impact on our team has been nothing short of transformative.   Working in a fast-paced industry, it's important to take a moment for ourselves. The Calm App offers bite-sized videos that are easy to weave into busy schedules. Even just a few minutes of guided meditation can help you reset and refocus your mind, making a positive difference to your day.    Hearing colleagues share their experiences of using the app has been incredibly fulfilling. Alana said, “I didn’t realise how much I needed those few minutes of mindfulness. It’s like a mini retreat in my workday.” (Molly) shared, “The Calm App has taught me the value of pausing. I feel more connected and grounded.”   To celebrate this journey, we’re excited to give away one premium Calm App experience! To enter, simply tag a friend you think could really benefit from using the Calm App and share with us why this would help them the most. We’ll select three lucky winners based on the most heartfelt response!     ♻️ Girls on tour but with a twist ♻️   Today our KEVIN.MURPHY Brisbane office took their first bin load of cans to  Containers for Change QLD (COEX) to be recycled in exchange for cash.    We have adopted this initiative in our office to help support a circular economy, as well as supporting community causes we care about.   We have chosen to donate all proceeds from our recycling initiative to Dangerous Females - https://lnkd.in/gBwps4N   "Dangerous Females is a movement founded to combat violence against women by raising awareness and funds for support services in Australia."   We are so incredibly proud of our employees quick adoption to change their habits and use an alternate bin to help us with this great initiative. #ContainersForChange #DangerousFemales #KEVINMURPHY #KEVINMURPHYEmployees #CharityDonation #BrisbaneCharity #ForACause

    KEV.CON & TRAIN.ME 2024 – EMEA & APAC✨ We’re still buzzing with excitement after hosting our annual KEV.CON & TRAIN.ME in the stunning city of Split, Croatia! For the second year in a row, EMEA teamed up with our APAC colleagues to make this event a huge success. We were thrilled to also welcome special guests from North America and SHOWPONY! We gathered more than 400 people, including Distributors, DSCs, Brand Specialists, Marketers, Keys, and many more. We were truly happy to see everyone and feel blessed to have spent an entire weekend together. While we presented a wealth of information, insights & knowledge across Sales, Marketing, and Education, what we value most about these events is the opportunity to connect with our wonderful KEVIN.MURPHY network.     UNDERSTORY is our second campaign for 2024. It takes you into the fairy-tale forest of Pandani Grove, a delightful green oasis in Tasmania, Australia. It’s a cold temperate rainforest, surrounded with pre-historic plants (we were not expecting snow in Australia in the middle of summer!)  We chose Tasmania because this powerful place has a unique presence that evokes feelings of calm and wonder. Kevin and his team were inspired by 80’s character – Tank Girl. With a Utilitarian-inspired wardrobe, we worked with natural texture and barely-there waves.     In the lead-up to RUOK? Day 2024, our KEVIN.MURPHY Brisbane office has been embracing team-building and wellness initiatives, including Flower Arranging, Pilates, Boxing, and Sound Bath Meditation. These activities were not only fun but also packed with benefits! Our team gave amazing feedback, highlighting how the workshops boosted creativity, relieved stress, enhanced problem-solving, and improved communication and collaboration. And there’s science to back it up: 🌱 Interacting with plants can reduce stress, as shown in the Journal of Health Psychology. 💐 Exposure to flowers and nature enhances mood and emotional well-being. 🥊 Boxing is a powerful stress reliever, releasing endorphins and easing tension. 🎶 Sound bath meditation reduces tension, anxiety, and depression, as published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine. 🧘♀️ Pilates improves both physical and mental health by building core strength, promoting mindfulness, and reducing stress. Workshops like these create lasting positive effects on culture, team dynamics, and productivity. RUOK? A palette of muted colour pops against neon and layers with natural textures to provide the perfect backdrop for glossy and polished hair. Spacious, light-filled, and strikingly minimalist, this is the place to steal a quiet moment. It has a tailored approach to the hair and the fashion. Playing in diverse lengths and cuts, it’s all about clean blondes and rich chocolate brunette hues. SMOOTH.AGAIN became our go-to product for this shoot, coupled with LEAVE-IN.REPAIR to create that smooth texture.
